Thoughts I've Had On My Way to Work Today

[Ed. note: for those of you not living in Chicago, we got dumped with about a foot of wet snow overnight, making the morning commute a bit hectic. Also, I walked 30 minutes to work this morning.]

In chronological order:

  1. This is awesome. I love the snow!
  2. Hmmm – Maybe I should just take the bus instead of walking. My feet are getting a little wet.
  3. I love snow and all, but this is getting ridiculous.
  4. Hey you, girlie over there - you aren’t going to last 5 minutes in that skirt. This isn’t Miami.
  5. A little snow is fine, but this is bullshit.
  6. Every bus is full. I guess I'll keep walking. This is bullshit.
  7. Where did this hill come from??
  8. It’s literally snowing upside down. WTF! This is bullshit!
  9. Mother fucker!
  10. When is it going to be summer? This is bullshit.
  11. Bullshit!!

Snow is TOTAL bullshit.

(I'm from Minnesota, so I know).

Whoa, was I sending you telepathic messages on my morning commute? The only thought of mine that you are missing is "I wish moon boots were more stylish."

Ha! Yesterday, I was actually thinking how much I missed the seasons and the snow... but nice, well-ordered German snow! *puts sunglasses on and returns to pool*

Coming home in a cab at 1 am was lovely and picturesque.

The 20 minute cleaning off my car routine this morning was pretty bullshit.

The wet boots that I'm wearing after walking through gigantic slush puddles from the parking lot to school are complete bullshit.

I'm with ya.

So it's 68 degrees in New York right now. I'm wearing a t-shirt. It's December.

No. I'm not laughing at you. Just smirking a little.

I love to witness your descent into madness.

You got it all wrong on how to deal with the snow... I slept in, ate breakfast, went back to bed (belly full)... then finally made it to work around noon. Take it easy... enjoy the snow. Or get stinkin' drunk! :)

I'm with 5 0f 9er. I spent the morning happily in Second Life and smirking at the news on television. Around one o'clock I dressed like a Cossack and cruised in to work.

I know a certain someone who is currently in transit is going to be sooooooo impressed when he realises it has snowed - the negative in front of the numbers was already bad enough.

It would be cruel to gloat about the Aussie Summer!

PS You take good care of him!

Much as you might be hating the snow right now, I'm still jealous. Send some my way!!

Corner houses that only shovel the walks in front and not on the side where ice eventually forms and makes the sidewalk viturally impassable - should be set on fire.

it would be totally mean for me to mention it's gonna be 85 all week in the OC wouldn't it? We do have a chance of rain on Friday...

I'm totally feeling you on this one even though we haven't had any snow yet just a tornado.

45 miles away and we barely have a dusting. :-P At least until the next lake effect snow storm.
