Beer: It's What's For Dinner

Note to self: Beer for dinner is not a good idea. Especially after no lunch and a 2-mile swim. Not Carrie Bradshaw was in town for most of the week, and although it was sad to see her go, my liver could certainly use the break.

In other news, I've started a new Flickr! album called "100 Drunk Portraits." It is similar to my "100 Portraits" album, except it will be photos of sober friends pretending to be drunk.

Once I've collected 100-or-so, I am going to sell it to Phaidon and turn it into a coffee table book and make millions.

It's a good thing the 2-mile swim was at the beginning of the day instead of the end. I will definitely buy your book once it's published (I am hoping to be one of those 100 portraits), and I can only hope that Phaidon is smart enough to keep the captions you've written for each one in your flickr album.

If I make it to the Windy City for a Bears game this year can I contribute to the project?

Those were HILARIOUS. Great captions too, sir! You have a keen eye for drunken details.

My favorite so far is the pic of Jenny. I don't know that I've ever seen anyone actually do that, but damn would it be funny!

I love the pictures. Too funny!

Swimming always makes me so hungry. Does it do that to you? I always think I probably eat more calories than I burn on my swimming days, but for some reason running doesn't make me as hungry.

Oh my. I don't think my reputation will ever quite be the same. I'll try to live up to it, though. Seriously, though, you guys were the greatest and I couldn't have asked for a better time! THanks so much!!!

Jules:: It would be great to add you to the rogue's gallery!

D:: I think its true that some of the best ideas were created over or using alcohol.

Jake:: Yes, of course. But only if you're *pretending* to be drunk. In your case, I assume you're planing to actually BE drunk.

Dr. Ken:: Well, I am working with great material.

Kaz:: Do I detect sarcasm?

Kadonkadonk:: Yeah, she's a star photo subject!

Radioactive Girl:: Hard to know. I'm pretty much hungry no matter what I do.

Canuck:: Thanks. I hope it turns out well too!

Carrie B:: No, thank YOU.

I agree that beer for dinner is not the best idea. But what about beer for breakfast? It has the alcohol to make those first few hours of work fly by, and it has the many, many calories that a hungry brain needs in the morning.

No, a coffee table book about anything except coffee tables doesn't really work anymore. I think it would be better to market them as drink coasters at bars. Each coaster would have a different pic of a sober drunk person.

(I would normally put a clip to the Seinfeld episode with Kramer and the coffee table book, but it appears all Seinfeld clips have been removed.)
