Because It's Never Too Early...

Got this email from the folks at Lollapalooza last week. Looks like Lolla '07 is happening Aug. 3-5 (which is only 7 months away!). And they've signed a contract to stay in Chicago through 2011, which is cool. Other cool news - this year's festival raised almost a million dollars for the Chicago Park District to help build and/or improve the city's public parks and park programs.

Out-of-towners are welcome to spend the weekend at our place. Couch and floor space is on a first-claimed, first-served basis. It is going to be a blast so you should definitely consider!
In even other news: Morrissey is coming to Chicago for one show in a few weeks, his only U.S. appearance. (This is old news for most people, but I heard about it for the first time on Friday - how do I not hear such things???). Of course it is sold out.

AWESOME!!! I now have birthday plans for the next 5 years! Thank you Perry Farrell for making my life easy. Now, if you could only get Morrissey to headline . . .

Lolla for the next 5 years and the only U.S. Morrissey show? Should I be considering Chicago as my next hometown? I'm getting a little tired of Phoenix.

Perhaps you should book me in for couch space (now fingers crossed for a bonus!)...would be a wonderful way to spend my birthday!

Depending on the line-up it looks like I might have found a vacation spot this summer. Not your house but Chicago and Lollapalooza unless of course you're inviting me to your house and it is as cool as Chicago and Lollapalooza which I don't doubt.

Isn't Lolla so 1994? "Let's do the time warp, yeah"
