Green Day

At about 3pm this afternoon (Chicago time), my boy Richard has his green card interview with the US Consulate in Sydney (8am Wednesday morning there).

It is the last major hurdle in his green card process which began a year ago.
If all goes well (and we believe it will!) then he'll be given the green light for his green card. We should have more information immediately following the interview, but won't likely get official word for 48 hours. After that, there is one last piece of paperwork to be processed (which takes about 2 weeks) and then he'll be on a plane to Chicago as a legal resident!

I'm wearing my lucky boxers today for this reason. For those of you reading this, please send some positive energy out into the universe (or more specifically, the way of Sydney Australia) today!

Keeping everything crossed hoping that he makes it through. Surely they can't refuse!

And I really thought I was the only one who had lucky boxers :)

You have to say what your lucky boxers look like!! Are they ones you've had since you were 10? Do they have a bunch of holes and fire engines on them?

Anyway, consider my positive energy send. aaoooooooooogah!!!!!! There it went.

Hey, if we can get the Democrats back in the house we should be able to get Richard back in the country.

Still "channeling" on Wednesday. I just had a friend get his card and I know it will go smoothly for yours. Very exciting!
