How Did I Miss This One?
Joe Scarborough's program Tueday night was: "Is Bush an Idiot?" in which he showed a collection of Bushisms over the years. Apparently there were people on the program arguing both for and against the Bush idiot stance. Is this really a subject that can be argued against? I thought at this point it is historical fact, like the Civil War or something.
This shit should be on prime time, not on MSNBC (wow, is that still on?) .
And in other news:
What would we do without Hollywood? 84 movie stars have posted a "powerfully-worded" ad in the LA Times condemning terrorism. And not just any old ad, but a full page one! Because, you know, a full page ad in a newspaper that is only read by people in the entertainment industry in America is going to do so much to end the fighting in the Middle East.

It's not so much that he's an idiot. There are plenty of politicians who are imbeciles. (granted, none of them are the Commander in Chief)
No, the thing about President Bush is that he's proud of being an idiot. Moreover, when he speaks to others and to the media, in particular, he adopts an air of condescension that makes you wonder if he's the only one in the room who hasn't been clued in on the fact that he's an idiot.
I should also add that the only people who are bigger idiots than the president are those that apologize for his lack of intellectual curiosity as some sort of cure for effete liberalism.
I think that Prashant eloquently covered your first point, so now on to the second one. At least the "actors" didn't decide to make a song condemning terror, now that would have been brutal. One can find other uses for the ad they made, you know, like lining a bird cage, fashioning a nice little hat, using it as toilet paper, etc., etc., etc. But with a song? Whoa nelly, our ears would be subjected to some real terror.
Famous people are better people. The sooner we all accept that, the happier they will be.
i'm so dissappointed in Patricia Heaton. Everybody loves Raymond reruns cannot suffer for this.
