What a Croc of Crap

Results from this week's CRQOW are in and Crocs gotta go. Not that we needed a survey to tell us that.

In close second, 18 of you think old people and babies need to be banned from planes. Wow, you guys are harsh.
NEW CRQOW appears to the right. Vote today!
I would shoot my daughter if I knew she had this many pairs of Crocs, btw.
There, I said it.

My parents got Crocs this summer. They were so excited about them that I didn't have the heart to say anything bad.

Gee...I was bored at work and thought I could rely on the [Cherry] Ride for some distraction and sure enough you did not disappoint!

My theory with babies/ small children on planes (since you asked!) is - if I have to put the dog in a crate in the hold and he is like a child to us - why is it any different for actual children????

Point of the story - never take seats at the very back of a Virgin Blue flight (anticipating getting off the plane tout suite on landing) - that's where they put all the families/ babies etc. I imagine the only quick exit is if you kick open the emergency exit mid flight!

I'm thinking of launching an entire separate blog devoted to my hatred of these "shoes".

I can't decide if it will be a sort of Public Service Announcement, trying to save people from themselves, or more of an angry, ridiculing, simmering pot of bile. I'm leaning toward the latter...

I'm not a violent man, but when I see people wearing these on the streets of Manhattan, I want to hit them. (The people in crocs, not the streets of Manhattan.)

Man, I was happy with $1 jelly shoes from Woolworths. At least those looked like shoes and matched my Madonna jelly bracelets. These croc suckers do no good for any outfit, even if you are in an insane asylum.

We just had an in-depth discussion here in open plan cubeville about Britney's fashion choice and K-Fed's performance at the Teen Choice Awards (viewable in the UK via YouTube). It was a discussion the CherryRide would have loved. London misses the CherryRide.

And the Cherry Ride misses London too.

people only voted to ban old people and babies from planes for a reason -- they shouldn't be on planes!

I am not a fan of crocs on adults but I think they're pretty cute on kids. And the kids that wear them tend to be of the more well-behaved variety - those I don't mind having on flights with me. Correlation? I would venture to guess that the kids whose parents wear crocs though are the ones that pitch fits.

So much hate can be mustered with one simple word. Croc! So much animosity toward a pair of ugly, unfashionable, not trendy-and-certainly-never-to-grace-my=feet blobs of plastic!
I have to admit..they do look cute on kids. NOT that I would be an advocate of people actually BUYING them for their children! Freebies in a showbag for novelty value, maybe.
So Cherry-baby, I take it Chloe and Emm won't be getting them in their Christmas bundles this year??

Children on planes. I think Paul Lynde handled the situation best when he was on a flight with a crying child. He walked up to the mother and said "Mam, if you don't shut your kid up I'll fuck it!"

She shut up her kid. I hate kids on airplanes. I HATE THEM. I hate them kicking my seat, I hate them talking incessantly about nothingness. I hate them crying and carrying on. If I had my way, the parents would pay a fine and the airlines should reimburse me.

I swear that like 25 years ago if you were caought dead wearing those KMART floor burners (KMART sales bin 2 for 10$) you would be stuffed and made fun of for the entire school year. And what the fuck are guys wearing these for.....I have no more to say about that
